Clive Lipshitz

Managing Partner of Tradewind Interstate Advisors

Clive Lipshitz is a managing partner of Tradewind Interstate Advisors where he consults with asset owners and investment management firms. He is also a guest scholar at NYU Stern where he has co-authored several studies on public pension plans, including Public Pension Reform and the 49th Parallel: Lessons from Canada for the U.S. and a book, Bridging the Gaps: Public Pension Funds and Infrastructure Finance. He is an external mentor to the Master of Science in Risk Management program at NYU Stern.

Previously, Clive oversaw product strategy and development for nine years at Credit Suisse Asset Management and at Brookfield where in aggregate he was responsible for the development of 30 new investment businesses. Before that, he was a growth capital investor in the Office of the Chairman at PaineWebber and a research analyst at Salomon Smith Barney. He began his career as a CPA at Price Waterhouse.

Clive’s work has appeared in or been cited by publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The Journal of Portfolio Management, Institutional Investor, Pensions & Investments, The Hill, The Bond Buyer, CIO Magazine, MarketWatch, The Globe & Mail, and elsewhere. He regularly presents at conferences on the topics of pensions and infrastructure investing.

Clive is an MBA and BA graduate of Tel Aviv University’s Coller School of Management, and he also holds a certificate in Real Estate Finance from NYU’s Schack School. Over the course of his career, he has worked in Latin America (Brazil and Mexico), Canada, the UK, Switzerland, Israel, South Africa, India, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
