Michael Flaherman

Institutional Investment and Private Equity Expert

Michael Flaherman works with institutional investors, helping them to assess whether they have received the full economic benefits of their private equity investments. Michael has a long history in private equity. He held senior roles at New Mountain Capital from 2003 to 2014. From 1995 to 2003, he served on the board of the California Public Employees' Retirement System. From 2014 through 2017, Michael held academic appointments at Harvard University and the UC Berkeley Goldman School of Public Policy, where he conducted research into transparency issues in private equity. Earlier in his career, Michael worked in the infrastructure sector.
